2010
Parallel Import Reform
Several members of our core team played a behind-the-scenes role in reshaping the Israeli automotive landscape. Working closely with Ford Europe and authorized distributors, we supported regulatory and technical groundwork that enabled the country’s first parallel import license – following Israel's Ministry of Transport’s historic 2010 decision to open the market.
That experience gave us not only rare insight into compliance challenges, but also the trust of partners who continue to rely on us today.

Pioneering Vehicle Software
Our core team has been deeply involved in automotive technology, contributing to the development of safety-critical systems and smart vehicle integrations within Israel’s leading tech ecosystem. With hands-on experience in OEM-level software, diagnostics, and electronic customization, we’ve helped shape the tools and standards that today’s professionals rely on – always with a focus on clean integration and real-world practicality.
2015
OEM COLLABORATION
During these years, we collaborated with authorized networks of leading OEMs to develop tools for configuring, customizing, and securing vehicle control units.
Our focus was on CAN-bus communication, deep vehicle integration, and creating stable, workshop-ready solutions that could scale across European markets. This phase also marked our growing involvement in homologation and regulatory processes. By working alongside experienced engineers in vehicle certification and technical approval, we began building the compliance expertise that would later shape our shift toward preventive security technology.

Regulatory Expertise
Our growing technical expertise naturally extended into regulatory work. We started supporting partners with homologation-related products, helping aligning vehicles with European standards.
Through this, we gained hands-on knowledge of emissions requirements, lighting compliance, and the realities of working with TÜV and other inspection authorities. It wasn’t a pivot – it was a deepening of our role: helping professional importers and distributors solve the increasingly complex challenges of modern vehicle integration.

In 2021, our engineering team introduced a groundbreaking anti-theft solution that redefined expectations for vehicle security. While the innovation itself was significant, it was the market reaction that truly shaped our path. Major rental and leasing companies – who rely on scalable, tamper-proof protection – quickly recognized its value. Their early interest didn’t just validate our approach; it also strengthened our relationships with global sourcing partners like Sixt, Hertz, Europcar, and Enterprise.

As demand continued to grow, we began building a global network of licensed partners to bring our services closer to where they were needed most.
Starting in Europe, we established trusted partnerships with professionals who shared our standards – technical precision, regulatory expertise, and a commitment to long-term collaboration. This model allowed us to scale without compromising on quality, enabling us to support more importers, fleets, and compliance-driven businesses with local insight and global consistency.

From Innovation to Trade
As our network grew and our partners’ trust deepened, a new opportunity emerged – not to change direction, but to build on what we already did best.
Together with several long-standing collaborators from the automotive world, we launched Basic Motors:
a sourcing and trading company rooted in the same values that have guided our work from day one – technical credibility, operational reliability, and long-term relationships.
While our engineering team continues to focus on innovation and security, Basic Motors handles vehicle sourcing with the same precision and professionalism—serving established importers with direct, dependable access to global stock.
